We captured their newborn session and all the tiny details that change far too quickly. A year later, we met again for White Trail Club family photos in Jupiter, Florida. This time, we celebrated just how much their family had grown.
Seeing my newborn clients return for milestone sessions is one of my favorite parts of being a family photographer. So much can change in a single year! The tiny newborn who once fit perfectly in their parents’ arms is suddenly walking and exploring. Their personality begins to shine through. These are the moments that make documenting a family’s story so meaningful.
A Family Session at White Trail in Jupiter, Florida

From Newborn Photos to One-Year Family Memories
One of the sweetest parts of this session was seeing the Porter children together. Their personalities were on full display. From big sister looking after her younger siblings to the kids laughing and exploring, there were so many moments to love.
Some of my favorite family photographs happen between the posed portraits. A little hand reaching for a sibling can say so much. So can a quick kiss, a curious expression, or the excitement of exploring somewhere new. These little moments tell the story of a family during this season of life.
As a Jupiter family photographer, my goal is to create images that feel natural and genuine. I also want families to have beautiful portraits they can display and cherish for years. We make time for classic family portraits, too. But I always leave room for the in-between moments that make each family unique.
When you have little ones, those in-between moments are often where the magic happens.
Why I Love Photographing Repeat Families
There is something incredibly rewarding about welcoming returning clients back in front of my camera. A newborn session captures the beginning of a new chapter. Seeing that same family a year later allows me to document how much has changed. It also shows how much love has continued to grow.
Family photography does not have to be reserved for one big milestone. Your children change so much during their first few years. Photographing different stages allows you to remember the little details that might otherwise be forgotten.
The way your toddler holds your hand will change with time. So will the way your children interact with each other. Even the expressions you see every day will become different as they grow. Photographs give you a way to revisit these fleeting seasons long after they have passed.
